Sylvia Yildiz
Director
Sylvia is the owner and operator of Ballroom Dance Center. She has been active in the ballroom dance industry for 20 years and has earned many respectable accolades in dancing and teaching. She has earned the title of US Rising Star Latin Champion and has won and been a finalist in many competitions across the country. Her students have consistently placed at the top in local and national competitions. Her experience has made her a popular choice with collegiate dance teams as well; she has worked with the Catholic University of America Ballroom Dance Team as well as the University of Madison Ballroom Dance Team.Sylvia has been awarded the recognition of #1 Top Teacher at the Crystal Ball Championships as well as Top Teacher at the Windy City Open and Harvest Moon Championships. Ballroom Dance Center has also been awarded the #1 Top Studio at the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Harvest Moon Ball Championships.
Ricky
Ricky has been an active member of the Chicago dance community for many years and most recently won the Award of Top Teacher at the Harvest Moon Ball Championships. He has experience with many styles of dance and his specialty is country two-step and line dancing. He has previously been the Manager of the Chicago Spirit Brigade (CSB) performing cheer leading stunts at events all around Chicago. He is presently a performing member of a dance ensemble, The Windy City Cowboys, representing the Chicagoland LGBTQ community. He loves sharing his talents and his skills with all of his students both in a social dancing aspect as well as on the competition floor.
Andrew
Andrew has been teaching partnership dancing since 2010, and loves sharing dance with individuals and couples of all levels. He recently moved to Chicago to pursue a professional partnership with another dance teacher in the area; they are competing in American Smooth. Andrew teaches all styles of ballroom, plus West Coast Swing, Latin dances, and Nightclub styles. Whether you are preparing for an event like a wedding, looking for a social hobby, or are interested in competitive dancing, he would love to work with you as a follower, leader, or couple!
